My Services

Why ‘ACT’ online?

  • Although ACT uses mindfulness-based strategies, it does not require you to have a daily meditation practice.

  • The mindfulness exercises are integrated into the activities of daily living. Most can be done at any place at any time.

  • Skype based video calling overcomes the problem of travelling and time constraints. You just need a quiet spot to get online once a week for an hour.

  • I check in with you by email twice a week to help keep you motivated to do your 'homework'.

  • The workbook is packed with links to video, audio and written online resources to keep you stimulated and focused.

01.

The online ACT coaching programme is particularly useful for those unable to attend face to face ACT therapy due to time and location constraints.  Individual coaching is based on my e-workbook pdf download that includes the following:

  • explanations of ACT theory and approach, and its scientific evidence base,

  • embedded web links to internet based learning resources, including audio and TV/video links,

  • practical exercises or ‘homework' tailored to your specific needs.

Each client is allocated eight Skype video call coaching sessions, one per workbook unit, which can be offered flexibly over a minimum of four weeks and a maximum of eight weeks. There is a free optional follow-up session a month later.

Coaching Workshops

ACT coaching workshops are for those who would prefer to work in a group face to face. These can be also commissioned by organisations as eight weeks of 3 hour workshops with email support based on my e-workbook pdf download that includes the following:

  • explanations of ACT theory and approach, and its scientific evidence base,

  • embedded web links to internet based learning resources, including audio and TV/video links,

  • practical exercises or ‘homework' tailored to each workshop member's specific needs

03.

I offer ACT training intensives to a range of helping professionals, which consist of three two hour workshops per day over three days and online monthly follow-ups for three months. The training is face to face only and can be commissioned by a specific service, such as a counselling organisation, a clinic, or school. The delivery format is based on a training handbook and uses experiential learning methods.
